GIS Consultant – Utilities

Description

An SSP Solution Consultant is a person who can be relied upon to deliver upon technical portions of project related work within the Systems Implementation team.  Often the work called upon to deliver will require knowledge of the Esri technology stack including but not limited to: ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise and other GIS based solutions. The Solution Consultant should have general knowledge of Python and be able to automate tasks using ArcPy.  A Solution Consultant will most likely possess industry specific domain knowledge including with the following subject matter domains: Electric Transmission, Electric Distribution, Gas Distribution, Gas/Oil Pipeline Transmission.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand network architecture
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise in regards to Esri products like Collector
  • Knowledge of administering an ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal) environment
  • Knowledge of IWA
  • Ability to understand how Utility Network works
  • Ability to understand and work with UN data models for various domains
  • Ability to understand end user workflows for ArcGIS Pro and UN tools

Additional Areas of Expertise (Not required)

  • Installing, configuring and maintain servers and networks in Development and Testing environments to replicate system prerequisite requirements
  • Perform server administration tasks, account setup, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly and monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
  • Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements
  • Maintains web environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades and monitoring system performance
  • Establishes web system specifications by analyzing access, information and security requirements and designing system infrastructure
  • Management of the IIS environment, monitor application pools, applications deployment, and Anonymous authentication
  • Will also ensure the environment and platforms are secured, efficient, and able to scale with anticipated growth. Also, maintaining SSL certificates on multiple servers
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerShell scripting and SQL statements
  • Windows Infrastructure and Domain Administration: DNS, DHCP, Account Management, Group Policy
