Description
We are looking for a GIS Quality Assurance Engineer that can take on the following tasks:
- Verify that the delivery fulfills the requirements and specification documents (Traceability)
- Help SSP team validate that the delivery satisfies the needs of the customer
- Perform various types of testing (system, integration, performance, exploratory, etc.)
- Contribute to creating User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Break down User Stories into tasks (particularly testing tasks)
- Estimate testing effort associated with SOW, User Stories, and all testing tasks
- Identify functional and non-functional aspects of the project/product to be tested
- Work with team to define the necessary test levels and suggest the optimal
- Create test plans
- Create and execute test cases
- Review SOW, requirement specification, and design documents for consistency and accuracy to provide feedback
- Enhance communication and collaboration within the team to ensure quality is the responsibility of all
- Document quality assurance activities
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, customers and Senior Management as required
- Experience in GIS and the tools of the trade, previous testing and quality assurance experience is required.
