DENVER, JANUARY 09, 2017 — Intermountain Rural Electric Association (IREA) located in Sedalia, CO, has hired SSP Innovations for the SSP Utility Network Jumpstart program. The jumpstart will get the utility set up on the new Esri Utility Network beta technology.
The consulting engagement will provide access to a SAAS-based environment to educate IREA staff on the new editing environment in Esri ArcGIS Pro with pre-configured geoprocessing wrappers to allow for typical electric utility use cases like upstream and downstream tracing, phase-based propagation, circuit management (for electric).
The jumpstart program provides a two-day, onsite knowledge transfer workshop for IREA staff and two weeks of usage beyond the workshop. The project is scheduled to begin sometime in February once the official BETA from Esri is officially released.
IREA was founded in 1938 and today has more than 140,000 customers within a service territory covering approximately 5,000 square miles in central Colorado.
