DENVER, Oct. 16, 2015 — Denton Municipal Electric, via its municipal corporation the City of Denton Texas, has selected SSP to provide a consulting engagement to discover and capture its business processes and workflows surrounding new capital utility work. This iterative discovery project will provide DME with a clear picture of its workflows and integration requirements for its planning of the potential implementation of new GIS tools in the future. SSP’s workflow consulting practice was selected due to a proven methodology for such requirements and successful results at other utilities.

Based in the Dallas area, Denton Municipal Electric (DME) is Denton’s customer-owned electric utility. Since 1905, DME has provided safe, reliable, and cost-effective electricity to the citizens of Denton.

The project is slated to begin next year.
