In roughly two weeks the 2014 Esri Electric & Gas GIS Conference will be underway.  During the conference, SSP Innovations will be excited to unveil an ebook titled, “ArcGIS / ArcFM™ Shortcuts & Hints.”  How does this affect you?

We’d like to reach out to YOU, the ArcGIS and ArcFM™ user community, and ask for YOUR favorite tip or technique.  Based on your submissions, we’re going to gather your tips and put them into the “ArcGIS / ArcFM™ Shortcuts & Hints” ebook that Esri will tweet out during the conference!

Why submit your tip?

• Get full credit for your tip within the ebook (not lost in the back credits, but right below the actual tip!)
• Add to your LinkedIn profile that you’ve been a Contributor to a Publication (we can show you how to add this)
• Be part of an ebook that Esri will promote by tweeting out
• The top 20 tips submitted will receive an SSP t-shirt
• The top 10 tips will receive a mug that says “I’ve been published!
• Be part of a publication that helps the user community

What types of tips are we looking for?

Shortcuts and tricks that make using the software easier or faster. While you can submit keyboard shortcuts, we’d most like to see tips you’ve discovered while working with the product that most users may not know.  If you can provide a series of screenshots showing how to use the tip or trick, that would be best!
 
How do I send my tip to SSP?

If your tip can fit inside of 130 characters, tweet it using the following hashtag “#ArcSSPTip”.  If it consists of screenshots or is more than 130 characters, please email your tip to [email protected].  Make sure to follow us on Twitter (@sspinnovations) to receive the latest information regarding the ebook, industry & SSP Innovations news, and other helpful content.
 
How many tips may I submit?

There is no limit to the number of submissions. Submit as many as you like!
 
How long do you have to submit your idea?

Send your tip ASAP!  The deadline is October 21, 2014.
