Esri recently published the ArcGIS Online Service Credit Estimator, a powerful and quick tool to help you plan for what type of cost you will incur if you use ArcGIS Online for a particular requirement.
This tool can help you determine your likely credit usage, be it for publishing a public facing map utilizing ArcGIS Online hosted services or providing non-GIS-types in your organization with the ability to create ArcGIS Online maps using Excel spreadsheet data for Powerpoint presentations.
If you’re considering using ArcGIS Online, and maybe you’ve done a little research into licensing and/or credits, but aren’t sure what the proper level is for your situation, this tool is for you.
Here’s what to do: simply go to the webpage and enter in the necessary info about your requirement, like feature service count, tile service count, analysis types and needs, etc. The tool will spit out a raw credit estimate for your requirement, which you can use to plan or budget for the future.
If you are concerned that you won’t understand what to enter in the input, there is a fairly significant example list included in the control to help get you kickstarted.
Hopefully this helps you adopt ArcGIS Online as quickly as you want to! And if you have more difficult questions about the technology and how you can use it, don’t hesitate to get in touch via our contact page.
