SSP Wins Esri System of Engagement Implementation at Jamaica Public Service

December 8, 2018 — Dean Perry

Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has hired SSP to provide a comprehensive system of engagement installation via web GIS, complementing its existing ArcGIS and ArcFM™ landscape. SSP was selected via an RFP process.

The project will provide the architecture, implementation and configuration of ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online to allow for the broader usage of the Esri platform via SAAS. While multiple web GIS templates will be implemented within this effort, the project will train JPS staff on usage of the platform so that many more can be rolled out independently by JPS as opportunities surface in the future.

JPS is an integrated electric utility company and the sole distributor of electricity in Jamaica. More the 1,600 JPS team members provide service to over 640,000 customers each day. The project will begin in December.
