WFM Services

SSP Innovations provides full implementations of its Workforce Management (WFM) product along with Schneider Electric's Designer™ software, including the integration to Designer™ and custom interfaces to a number of other standard systems. Our WFM implementations follow our standard project process of three phases including design, develop, and deploy. Our WFM services are broken down into two complimentary sections as follows:

  • WFM Full Deployment - A typical WFM project begins with workflow modeling and data modeling which will allow SSP to document any required configuration and customization to the core product. SSP will then build and document the customer's WFM installation at the SSP offices before leading the onsite installation and training of the customer staff. WFM can be used without Schneider Electric Designer™ but reaches its fullest potential when integrated to enable full graphic design. SSP has implemented WFM at customer sites where Designer™ was already present and/or can implement the Schneider Electric Designer™ product within the context of the WFM project.
  • WFM Systems Integration - Many utilities will integrate WFM with a number of other systems to maximize the value of the implementation. These systems often include the CIS, OMS, Call-Before-You-Dig, Warehouse, Material Ordering, and/or Plant/FERC Accounting. SSP can lead and manage the integration of WFM to these systems. Typical projects include design workshops, development, and deployment using point-to-point, services oriented architecture (SOA), or enterprise service bus (ESB) integrations.

WFM Architecture

Typically, SSP's Workforce Management application can be implemented for a new utility in approximately 3-6 months. The effort will often include the following tasks:

  • Workflow Modeling & Documentation
  • Compatible Unit Library Review, Mapping, & Transformation
  • Work Management Data Conversion
  • WFM System Configuration
  • Optional WFM Customization
  • Optional Systems Integration
  • WFM System Testing
  • WFM Training
  • Deployment and Post Production Support

SSP will provide a single project manager who will be responsible for the delivery of the implementation and will also serve as the main point of contact for the client throughout the project. SSP believes continuity and personal accountability are integral to a successful implementation; therefore we will pledge the same leadership for the project's duration. While a variety of SSP software engineers, developers and analysts may assist with portions of a WFM project, your PM will remain the same.

Additionally, SSP will provide an account manager for the project who will act as client advocate for the customer within SSP Innovations, should the need arise at any point. This gives the customer a contact to call with any concerns or questions not germane to the technical aspects of the project.  SSP Innovations conducts internal bi-weekly Project Management Overview (PMO) meetings in which all current projects are reviewed against their respective project plans and all issues are raised and discussed at length to provide the best solution possible to the client. These PMO meetings include the Project Manager, Account Manager and SSP company leadership. Our goal is provide each customer with a successful implementation by focusing on exceptional service.
