    For years GIS has been used to document and manage the assets and related connectivity representing the physical network model of a communications network. Lately, SSP has seen greater interest in managing the services that are being provisioned on the physical network model, while still being able to tie those services back to the geospatial information stored in the GIS. This blog post outlines a design that was done for an SSP customer, Consolidated Electric Cooperative, interested in this particular application.
