Overview of SSP All Edits State Zero

Overview of SSP All Edits State Zero

For those who aren't familiar with the concept of State Zero, this means getting rid of all of your Esri versions, compressing the geodatabase to move your edits from the Add & Delete tables to the base tables, and then most often un-versioning your geodatabase which completely removes the Add & Delete tables.

Esri Utility Network - Gas Editing with Containers and Group Templates

Esri Utility Network - Gas Editing with Containers and Group Templates

The new Esri Utility Network provides us with advanced editing tools to manage connected features. In this demonstration we will explore using containment associations to place a regulator station assembly and its related content including the regulator device, the valves, fittings, etc. The content can be hidden from the primary map view while still maintaining connectivity.

Esri Utility Network - Editing with Containment Associations

The new Esri Utility Network provides us with advanced editing tools to manage connected features. In this post and associated video, we explore containment associations, which let us place a regulator station assembly and its related content. We will also show how this content can be hidden from the primary map view while still maintaining connectivity.

SSP WFM Integrated to Cityworks Asset Management

SSP WFM Integrated to Cityworks Asset Management

SSP created a new integration between its Workforce Management (WFM) product and Cityworks Asset Management System (AMS). This integration shows the power of a capital work design system being used to drive work and asset association within the Cityworks AMS. Integration points include passing an approved design estimate and the as-built updates from SSP WFM to Cityworks.

Esri Utility Network - Can You Trace by Phase?

Tying into our last post on Electric Tracing, many of our readers asked us if we could demonstrate how the new Utility Network could be used to trace by phase. While phase is not automatically built into the Utility Network, it can be configured using network attributes. This powerful functionality closes the gap allowing Esri to provide customers with comprehensive electric data management.

Esri Utility Network - Introducing Electric Tracing

Electric tracing is a common and critical functionality. As we continue to review functionality in the Esri Utility Network, we want to take a look at electric tracing, including significant, new functionality specific to electric circuits and the traces that are exposed out-of-the-box via geo-processing tasks within ArcGis Pro. In this article, we look at how many of the most common electric traces are performed within Pro.

Esri Geometric Network to Utility Network Migration

Esri Geometric Network to Utility Network Migration

SSP Innovations has created a configurable migration tool to move your current Esri geometric network utility data into the new Esri Utility Network. This includes configurable mappings for each feature class and subtype with options for offsetting features, promoting units to features, trimming lines, and more. SSP includes a full QAQC step where the user can validate all connectivity associations, structural attachment associations, and containment associations visually within Esri ArcMap before importing to Esri ArcGIS Pro and the Esri Utility Network.

Esri Utility Network - Migrating Your Data into the Utility Network

SSP introduced a new "Geometric Network to Utility Network" migration process at Esri GeoConX 2016. The migration ensures your data gets loaded into the Utility Network correctly, while you take advantage of the full Utility Network functionality. This post introduces a way to get you started using the Utility Network beta release, through the SSP Utility Network Jumpstart Package.

Esri Utility Network - Topology, Tiers, & Subnetworks, Oh My!

SSP continues a multi-part series on the data model utilized by the new Esri Utility Network. This month we tie many concepts together as we discuss the new network topology along with tiers within your domain network which provide the context for subnetworks (circuits, pressure systems, etc.).
